Project:

Formery Architecture

PROJECT SUMMARY

Formery engaged Studio Henry to develop a comprehensive suite of brand visuals reflecting the architectural precision and materiality of the studio. The project was delivered across two planned shoots, one studio-based and one on-site, allowing for a wide range of refined imagery that could be used across website, branding, and marketing touch-points. Within the studio, custom-built sets enabled six distinct visual scenarios to be created in a half-day session. A second shoot on an active project site captured eight unique scenes, showcasing Formery’s work in context. The final deliverables formed a cohesive content library designed to support the brand for approximately twelve months, including still imagery, behind-the-scenes assets, and high-quality motion content.

Our approach

The Vision: Emma, founder of Formery Architecture, came to Studio Henry looking to finally create brand imagery that reflected the depth, precision, and personality behind her work. Previous shoots hadn’t quite captured the essence of her brand, the balance between technical expertise and creative vision and she knew it was time to approach things differently.

The goal was clear: build a visual identity that felt considered, architectural, and quietly confident, while still feeling human and approachable.

The brief: A strategic brand and content shoot that would move beyond standard headshots, capturing Emma in her element, showcasing process, detail, and the layered nature of architectural work.

The direction called for a blend of minimal, design-led imagery with more documentary-style moments, something that felt both editorial and grounded in real practice.

Creative Consultation: We began by diving into Emma’s brand, her design philosophy, and how she wanted to be perceived within the architecture space. It became clear that this wasn’t just about aesthetics — it was about credibility, trust, and communicating the thought process behind her work.

From there, we mapped out how her story could be translated visually — not just who she is, but how she works, thinks, and interacts with her environment.

Mood Board + Visual Direction: The visual direction was built around clean lines, neutral tones, and natural textures, echoing the language of architecture itself.

We balanced structured compositions with softer, candid moments:
– Architectural plans and material samples
– On-site walkthroughs and collaborative discussions
– Minimal studio portraits with refined styling

Every element was designed to feel intentional, with a focus on negative space, form, and detail, allowing the imagery to mirror the discipline of Emma’s work.

Brand Shoot Execution: Across a half-day production, we captured 11 distinct scenes, 7 outfits, and 2 locations, creating a highly versatile content library.

The shoot moved between environments, from stripped-back construction settings to clean, minimal interiors, giving us range while staying cohesive to the brand.

Post-Production + Final Delivery: The final imagery was treated with a restrained, refined edit, keeping tones neutral, contrast controlled, and colours true to life.

The result is a cohesive visual library that feels timeless, elevated, and aligned with the architectural space, giving Emma a strong foundation of assets to use across her website, social platforms, and client-facing materials.

More importantly, it’s a body of work that finally reflects the level of thinking and care behind Formery Architecture.
